Optician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Opticians fit and dispense eyeglasses for patients based upon prescription written by the eye doctors. They also measure the size between the corneas of the eyes.

Average Salary: $19,000-$40,000

Educational Requirements:

Students in high school should take physics, algebra, mechanical drawing, and geometry. They need a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Students should take a training program and complete the program in two years.

Optical Laboratory Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Optical laboratory technician’s routine and right eyeglasses lenses into frames. They fit the lenses into the eyeglasses frames and fit the frames to the patients.

Average Salary: $15,000-$20,000

Educational Requirements:

Students must have a high school diploma or GED certificate to begin. They must take training programs provided by professional schools and community colleges.

 Reflection: I would not like to be one because im not interested.

Ophthalmologists

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ophthalmologists are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorder and diseases. They treat vision problems and corrective eyeglass lenses. They may provide surgery if necessary.

Average Salary: $90,000-$150,000

Educational Requirements:

After completing medical school and a position, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year job in an approved ophthalmology program.  After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

I have gotten new goal to accomplish. I really want to accomplish my goals. It will kind of hard but i will accomplish my goals no matter what. Goal are given to accomplish and to go.

                                        Operating Room Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:

Operating room technicians are also called surgical technicians; they assist in preparing operating rooms for surgery. They are responsible for instruments, sterile bandages and linens, needed fluids, and other equipment’s ready for the operation.

Average Salary:  $16,000-$22,000

Educational Requirements:

They must have a high school diploma and GED certificate. They can take training school. At the end of training period students must pass an examination by the Association of Surgical Technologists to become certified.
