Medical Illustrator

Duties and Responsibilities:

Medical illustrators are highly skilled artists. They do graphics for book, journals, magazines, and movies.

Average Salary: $35,000-$50,000

Students in high school should take emphasizes art and science. In college they should take minor in science or minor in art. They should also take major in science. Undergraduate students should take all two minors. Medical Illustrator requires a graduate degree in medical illustrator and they should take a national examination.

Medical Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:

Medical assistants help physicians and nurses deliver patients. They work in hospitals, clinics, and private physicians’ offices. They also take out blood pressures, respirations, temperatures, and other routine pre-examining.

Average Salary: $17,000-$18,000

Educational Requirements:

Student in high school should take the most challenging high school courses in biology, physical science, and human relations. Medical assistants many require training programs. Students need at least six months and two years to complete.

Licensed practical nurses work with and under the direction of registered nurses and physicians. They care for patients in nursing homes, hospitals, and extended care facilities. Some nurses work in private homes.

Educational Requirement:

High school students are requiring a high school diploma or GED certificate. States approve training programs are offered by hospitals, vocational schools, junior colleges, and private schools.

Students should take the most challenging preparatory courses, in mathematics and science in high school. Hygienist requires a Bachelors and Master’s Degree.
